To Fulfill Brancusi’s Last Wish, Romanian Poet Treks Across Europe to Bring His Corpse Home (ARTINFO)

ARTINFO – Poet Laurian Stanchescu is on a quest to bring Constanin Brancusi’s bones back to his native Romania. Inspired by the legendary story that Brancusi walked to Paris when emigrating there in 1904, Stanchescu is headed to Paris on foot to draw attention to his cause. Representing 84 of the sculptor’s relatives, he intends to deliver a letter with his request to French president Nicolas Sarkozy.
