Meet Anne Sinclair, the Art-World Scion by Dominique Strauss-Kahn’s Side (ARTINFO)

ARTINFO – The French political world continues to debate the significance and fallout of former presidential contender Dominique Strauss-Kahn’s recent arrest on attempted rape charges. These events have also brought his wife, journalist Anne Sinclair, into the spotlight. Along with being a media personality in her own right, Sinclair has significant art ties, which may provide some small insight into the personality of this complex public figure. She is granddaughter of legendary art dealer Paul Rosenberg, who represented, among others, Picasso, Braque, and Matisse. Sinclair inherited her grandfather’s incredible collection — details of which are shrouded in secrecy — and as recently as last month, her status as cultural royalty inspired right-wing attacks on Sinclair and Strauss-Kahn as “caviar socialists.”
