Arts Martial – Rule the World

Arts Martial – Rule the World is the second single off the forthcoming debut Arts Martial record due 2012. In December 2011 Arts Martial received a phone-call with news they had been chosen by triple j unearthed to play the SOUTHBOUND FESTIVAL in Australia’s south-west. To REALLY make the most of the opportunity, the guys decided to enlist infamous (or un-famous) local super-hero ‘Captain Radical’, borrow some digital cameras and make what would have to be the best music video filmed within the “Shire of Busselton” on that day. Directed by Gav Murray (the bands guitarist) featuring the crowds at Southbound, the sand dunes of Lancelin and the seedy underbelly of Perth’s northern beaches, the music video for “Rule The World” is truly a masterpiece for the ages. ….at least that’s what our mums think. RULE THE WORLD PRESS RELEASE When Jarrod Ross of Perth rock band ARTS MARTIAL sings “if I ruled the world..” he’s not speaking of money, women, fast cars and parties. Nope. He’s not even speaking of mansions, pool parties and endless amounts of leisurely drugs. In fact, Rule The World is quite the opposite. It’s about the feeling you get when you meet someone that makes you shake at the knees, gives you a sense of reckless abandon…to “carry on with no reaction”. It’s not about making ‘power-plays’, being Bono or saving rain forests. “..how good is this…” isn’t a question, it’s a statement. Rule The World is about stopping to appreciate what we have, about being comfortable
